Many companies have a high turnover rate due to dissatisfied, dissatisfied and / or unappreciated employees. Recognition by a manager who is at least two ranks above an employee makes a meaningful, appealing difference in employee morale.

• Organizational Pride and Belonging – Promote activities that develop and build pride and loyalty that are the backbone of any business’s long-term success. Employee turnover is extremely expensive and productivity and product or service development suffer as a result. A committed employee is someone who is enthusiastic about their job. Improving employee engagement has a direct impact on measurable business results. Employees who are committed to success, emotionally connected and socially connected to a company show qualities that managers strive for. Dedicated employees are more productive at work, have fewer sick days and display different positive behaviors, promote business with others and show their customers their joy.

• Mentoring programs – thinking long-term for future corporate success. A mentor is an experienced and trustworthy advisor who helps develop competent employees and future leaders. Mentoring programs train and encourage experienced employees to become mentors. A mentoring program can encourage dynamic skills growth across the company. It’s good public relations for businesses to show their communities that they care about their customers. These activities will create goodwill with the local community and your co-workers. Employee engagement can be improved by aligning individual goals with corporate goals. Employee motivation should be linked to traditional rewards such as pay and compensation, but also to emotional rewards such as personal growth, work for a common cause, part of a high-performing team, and recognition for achievement.
